Claudia Quintet are one of the most progressive ensembles in jazz today. We were lucky enough to present two sets form the band, both of which are featured here. Check out the Claudia Quintet Myspace too.

The first set of Claudia’s headline slot on the Friday night of Harmonic was the regular quintet plus pianist Matt Mitchell (who features on their upcoming record). The band were on fantastic form and played an amazing set to a packed out CBSO Centre which you can listen to by clicking play on the left side of this page.

For the second set of the evening, Claudia Quintet were joined by Birmingham based musicians Steve Tromans on Rhodes and Percy Pursglove on trumpet.

This performance was commissioned especially for Harmonic, so this is the one and only place to check it out. This gig was supported by our partners Birmingham Jazz, for which we are very grateful.
